ヴァニラ画廊では、作家カネオヤサチコの2026年度の個展を開催いたします。
イラストレーターとして活躍するカネオヤサチコは、日常を営む「おにいさん」の姿を一貫して描き続けてきました。日常の一瞬や、ふとした仕草の中のユーモアをすくい上げ、独自のサイケデリックな色彩感覚と、どこか不穏でありながらも軽やかなブラックユーモアによって描き出します。
さらに、日本の昭和期の装丁や漫画へのオマージュを織り込みながら、懐かしさと新しさが交錯する独自のビジュアルを確立、緻密に構築された世界観と鋭いセンスは、日本国内にとどまらず海外からも高い評価を受け、支持を集め続けています。

本展では、新作描き下ろし作品を中心に、ペン画作品をはじめとしたアナログ作品、デジタル作品まで、多彩なアプローチによる作品群を一堂に展示・販売いたします。

★カネオヤサチコ プロフィール

イラストレーターとして仕事をしながら、アクリル絵具を使用したアナログ作品や、デジタル着彩による「男子」を主なテーマに作品を制作。2008年より定期的に展覧会開催。 deviantARTへの作品掲載から、海外での人気が高まり、国内外に多くのファンを持つ。
「短くも瑞々しい少年期を過ぎ社会に出て数年、夢も希望もなくなりかけて世間につかれ、心は淀んでいるが体は清い男性（おにいさん）たちを少々邪な目線で表現できたらと思っております」

個展・グループ展出展多数、期間限定のポップアップショップ(SHIBUYA TSUTAYA)開催等。
近年の仕事として、2026年劇団☆新感線46周年興行・夏公演「アケチコ！」のビジュアルイラストを担当。

At Vanilla Gallery, we are pleased to present the 2026 solo exhibition of artist Sachiko Kaneoya.

Active as an illustrator, Sachiko Kaneoya has consistently depicted the figure of the everyday “oniisan” — the ordinary young man living his daily life. She captures fleeting moments of daily existence and the subtle humor found in casual gestures, rendering them through her distinctive psychedelic sense of color and a style infused with light yet unsettling black humor.

By incorporating homage to Japanese Showa-era book design and manga, she has established a unique visual language where nostalgia and novelty intersect. Her meticulously constructed worlds and sharp artistic sensibility have earned her high acclaim not only in Japan but also internationally, continuing to attract a devoted following.

This exhibition will feature and offer for sale a diverse body of work centered on newly created pieces, including pen drawings and other analog works, as well as digital artworks—showcasing her wide-ranging artistic approaches in one comprehensive presentation. We warmly invite you to experience Sachiko Kaneoya’s bluesy and neo-cartoon world.

SACHIKO KANEOYA profile

While working professionally as an illustrator, Sachiko Kaneoya creates both analog works using acrylic paint and digitally colored artworks, with “young men” as her central theme. Since 2008, she has held exhibitions on a regular basis.

Her popularity overseas grew through the publication of her works on deviantART, and she has since gained a large and devoted fanbase both in Japan and abroad.

“I hope to portray, from a slightly mischievous perspective, men (‘oniisan’) who have passed through their brief yet vivid youth, spent several years out in society, and become worn down by the world—men whose dreams and hopes are beginning to fade, whose hearts have grown clouded, yet whose bodies remain pure.”

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as hosting limited-time pop-up shops, including at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA.

Among her recent projects, she created the key visual illustration for the 2026 summer production “Akechiko!” by Gekidan Shinkansen as part of the company’s 46th anniversary performances.
