この絵は何で描いているのですか？と聞かれることがあります。絵を描きはじめた頃は確か鉛筆を使っていたと思います。自分の絵の下手な事を忘れて用具の責任にしていました。
ペン、筆、その他いろんな用具を使いましたが、なかなか思うように描けません。結局は鉛筆に戻ってしまいました。次によく聞かれるのはどうしてお尻を強調して描くのですか？豊満なお尻が好きだから………それだけです。これまで何百、何千枚とお尻を中心とした絵を描いてきましたが、どれだけの人が自分の絵を知ってくれているだろうか？おそらく誰も知らないでしょう。それでもこの絵は何十年も生き続けているのです。それは鉛筆と共に心で描いているからだと思っています。

2020年4月にこの世を去った、イラストレーター春川ナミオ（1947-2020）は、一貫して豊満な女性のお尻を描き続けた稀代のアーティストです。
その豊かな作品は斯界だけにとどまらず、国内外のアーティスト達に広く影響を与え、寺山修司、団鬼六、そして歌手のマドンナも自身のInstagramで氏のファンであると公言するなど、春川ナミオの描く唯一無二のエロティック・ファンタジーは、多くのファンを現在も魅了し続けています。
今展示では哀悼の意を込め、原画の展示、販売をいたします。また、メモリアルグッズの発売も行います。エディシオン・トレヴィルより、新刊画集も発売予定です。
理想のかたちを追い求め、生涯を捧げ描き続けたその情熱の軌跡をご覧下さい。

Namio HARUKAWA (1947-2020), an illustrator who died in April 2020, was an unrivaled artist consistently drawing ample female buttocks.
He had a great influence not only in this field, but also across Japan and abroad. The unique world view that can only be drawn by Namio HARUKAWA captivated many fans,
including an American singer-songwriter Madonna who confessed on her Instagram that she was a fan of his work.
Vanilla Gallery will hold an exhibition in his memory to express our deepest condolences. In addition to original drawings, various memorial goods will be on sale at the exhibition. A new book of his illustrations is also scheduled to be published by Éditions Treville. This is a unique opportunity to follow the traces of an artist who had pursued ideal forms and dedicated his life to continue to draw passionately.

春川ナミオ（1947-2020） 大阪府出身。「奇譚クラブ」への投稿をきっかけに、次第にその画力が認められ、「SMコレクター」「SN秘小説」等で持続的にイラスト作品を発表。長らく画業と他の仕事の二足の草鞋をはいていたが、後年は専業イラストレーターとなり、雑誌イラスト以外にも、AVのパッケージイラストやアドバイザーなども手がけよりお尻に密着した創作を意欲的に行った。

Namio HARUKAWA (1947-2020) Born in Osaka Prefecture. His exceptional drawing skills were recognized through his contributions to the “Kitan Club” magazine, and then he consistently published his illustration works in “SM Collector” and “SM Secret Novel”, etc. He had long been engaged in illustration work and other professional activities, both at the same time. But in later years he was a full-time illustrator. In addition to providing illustrations to various magazines, he was involved in creating package illustrations and advertising for adult videos. He eagerly continued his creative activities, which was more closely attached to buttocks.
