須磨利之(1920-1992)
1920年京都生まれ。絵師、緊縛師、文筆家そして編集者として活躍し、別名に美濃村晃、喜多玲子など多数。
太平洋戦争後、京都の新聞社に就職するも、「奇譚クラブ」の編集に関わり、日本初のSM専門誌へと成長させていく。
やがて東京に移り1953年「風俗草紙」に作品を発表、56年には自ら編集人として「裏窓」を創刊する。「SMセレクト」「SMコレクター」「S&Mアブハンター」「SM奇譚」などで挿画家として活躍し、作家としても小説、読物を書いた。
50代に脳溢血で倒れてからは一線からは退き、1992年に死去。享年72歳。
Toshiyuki Suma (1920-1992) Born in Kyoto. He worked as an
illustrator, a nawashi(rope artist), a writer and an editor. He
also used the name of Reiko Kita ,Kou Minomura among others.
After the WWII, he was employed at a newspaper company in Kyoto
and engaged in the editing of “Kitan Club”, which he made into
the first Japanese SM magazine.
He later moved to Tokyo and published his work in “Fuzoku
Soushi” in 1953, and then started a new magazine “Uramado” as
the editor in chief in 1956. He went on to become an
illustrator, providing insert illustrations for various
magazines such as “SM Select”, “SM Collector”, “S&M Abu Hunter”,
and “SM Kitan”. He also wrote novels and narratives.
He retired after suffering cerebral hemorrhage in his 50s, and
died in 1992 at the age of 72.
